Recommendation: The WAGS Board of Directors does not recommend this Proposed Rule Change. This rule change was proposed in the past and the membership believed that it would be difficult if not impossible to enforce such a rule.
Proposed by CRFT Club Rep
G. Division Size and Structure
d. ADD: Teams accepted into WAGS from the Wait List will be place in the lowest division for their age group.
Change to Read: Teams will be accepted into WAGS from the top of the Waiting List. Teams accepted into WAGS from the Wait List will be place in the lowest division for their age group. Any team entering the League from the Wait List and requesting a Sit Out will have their entry deferred until the following season. Entry will be offered to the next team on the wait list.
Recommendation: The WAGS Board of Directors does not recommend this Proposed Rule Change. The Board’s discretion in division structure allows for competitive placement of new teams. This serves not only the incoming teams but also existing WAGS teams in creating a balance, competitive environment. Implementation of this rule would also serve as a deterrent for any strong clubs considering becoming members of WAGS in the future. Motion failed
