Kathie Diapoulis called the meeting to order at 8:00pm and roll call was taken and reports were given by the BOD.
LEAGUE NOTES
VP Virginia:
Walt Lenar thanked everyone for their hard work on getting the scores in to him on time and congratulated the scholarship winners. Thanked all Board Members for their hard work during the past season. Walt noted that 17 state have already implemented 8v8 for their U-11 and U-12 age groups while 11 other States are implementing the 8v8 format for U-11 and U-12 beginning in the Fall 2005 season.
Treasurer:
Mike Sybert thanked the Club Reps for volunteering their time also thanked them for getting the word out to their players regarding the Adele Dolansky Scholarship. WAGS had 24 applications this year.
Secretary:
Pat Lusk stated that the criteria was out for the New Club Entry.
VP Maryland:

Administrator:
Robin reviewed the following with the Membership
Deadlines: Robin stated that the division structure forms are due into WAGS on June 18th.
Team Contact Information: Robin reviewed the procedures on how to enter a new team.
Must add as a new team computer will give an A number
Robin will change it to the W number.
Must use your pin number given to your by the club rep for tryout ads and updating
contact information.
Participation Goodies and Awards: All participation goodies and awards will be mailed to the primary contacts.
Tryout Ads: Were updated as of 3:00pm June 17th.
President:
Kathie reviewed some important dates:
June 18th Division Structure Forms are due
June 25th All Fees and Forms are due except for field forms
July 16th Field Forms are due
U-11 Format:
Kathie spoke about a few issues regarding the U-11 format.
Apparently, some teams are planning to attempt to get around the dual sided game by only rostering 8-10 players. If the team adds a substantial amount of new players for the U-12 seasonal year, they will be viewed by the Board as a new team and will most likely be placed with teams who are new in WAGS, or possibly ones who have not performed well in the U-11 year. The teams are taking a big chance playing this little game of passive aggressive maneuvers. Additionally, we will be throwing a lot of money out the window when we will be paying for two (2) officials and using just one. I will be monitoring rosters for any trend that lends itself to these rumors and forewarn the opposing coaches.

Shelby Taylor TSC Thunder Attending UVA in the Fall
Michelle Mattingly SMU Storm Attending the Naval Academy in the Fall
Emily Wolff BSU Freedom Attending York College in the Fall
Kathie Diapoulis, Scholarship Committee Chair, spoke of the recipients accomplishments both on and off the playing field.
Election of Officers:
Kathie Diapoulis announced the slate of Officers who will serve on the WAGS Board of Directors for the year 2004-2005:

Proposed Rule Changes

New Club Entry Criteria: Because the meeting ran so long, the Membership approved a motion to table the proposal for the New Club Entry Criteria until the meeting in August.
Meeting was adjourned at 11:30pm
