R & D Director:Lula reviewed the number of yellow/red cards for the U-11 and U-12 players/coaches.In Spring 2002, the U-11’s received 24 cards; U-12’s received 33 cards and the coaches received 12 cards.In Fall 2002, the U-11’s received 5 cards; U-12’s received 6 cards and the coaches received zero (0) cards.
VP Virginia:Walt represented WAGS at the NSCAA Convention.Michelle Morgan, from AmherstCollege was awarded the WAGS trophy this year.
Walt also thanked the division coordinators for calling in the scores on time.
Walt will be attending the VYSA Workshop January 24-25.Top Soccer session will be held that weekend.

USYS Decision Regarding Small-Sided Games:USYS voted to “strongly recommend that all State Associations begin instituting small-sided games for U-11 and U-12”.At this time, it is not mandated.WAGS will be collecting information from other State Associations throughout the country to see what the trend is before bringing it before the membership for review.If anyone has any input regarding this matter, you may submit it the WAGS Office.
