Administrator

Forms

Robin reminded everyone that the deadline for fees for the Spring 2002 Season are due January 30th and the Division Structure Request Form is due on January 18th. All Forms, other than the Division Structure Form, which is already on line, will be on line January 5th.

Trophy Pick-Up

Trophies may be picked up after the meeting.

Referee Cards

Robin stated that the referee cards were filled out incorrectly. They were missing team names, field location, game number and date. All of these are VERY important for billing purposes.

Fields

Robin reminded the club reps that they are to check the field loadings very carefully prior to the beginning of the season. WAGS will not change fields after the schedule is released unless the County closes them. Once the permit is given to the League, those are the fields that will be used. If the club reps feel the fields are not playable, do not submit them.

President

Positive Coaching Alliance

WAGS has formed a partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance. There will be a MANDATORY course for all new coaches entering WAGS and coaches receiving yellow or red cards. Dates for the course will be available in December.

Referee Program

Out of 35 referees who received starter kits from WAGS, only 8 finished the course and obtained their certification. Therefore, we are revamping the program. They will have to show their certificate of certification prior to receiving reimbursement and/or starter kits.

Team Sportsmanship Liaison (TSL)

Team Liaison will be required for every team. More information will be provided to your teams online with the other forms.

Dr. Timothy Hewitt

Frank Tarrant (CHAN) spoke to us a our Registration meeting regarding ACL's. Several people have approached Frank about a possible workshop. Frank has contacted Dr. Timothy Hewitt, who is renowned all over the country for his research on ACL's regarding hosting a workshop this winter. The workshop is scheduled for March 2nd.

By Law Change

Kathie announced that this meeting seemed to serve no purpose except to distribute trophies and pins. She recommended a By Law change in January to eliminate this meeting.

Tournament

Kathie announced that Louise Waxler has resigned. Michelle Shircliff will be the new Tournament Administrator.

Good of the Game

A DCST team went to a game without their Adult Passes and FREE offered to have one of their carded officials stand on the sidelines with the DCST team so that the game would not have to be forfeited.

With no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45pm

Respectfully Submitted,

Robin Miller, WAGS League Administrator
